BERETS, CIGARS AND BLUE DRESSES
Those are the hot items that are moving fast for Halloween vendors. Monica Lewinsky
promises to be the biggest adult costume get up for Halloween parties this year, though
Bill and Hillary can't be far behind. Looking for Monica on the WEB try here: http://www.gomonica.com/index.shtml

Eve.
STAR SHOW !
They're calling it a once in a generation opportunity to see a spectacular sky show. It
all happens when the Earth passes through the Leonid Meteor Stream. It does this every
year, BUT what makes this year different is that we've entered the 33 year cycle where
Earth passes through the thickest portion of the stream making the show brilliant and for
all to see. The date will be around November 17th.
BUY ONE GET ONE !
How do you spur the economy in Japan, now in an economic downturn? Gift Certificates
!That's one idea being bandied about by government types. Giving every person in Japan a
$300 gift certificate. The thinking is that the certificates would be like a cash infusion
into the stalled Japanese economy.
THE DUCHESS' TALK SHOW
Sarah Ferguson unveiled her new talk show in England Monday. "Sarah...Surviving
Life" ! Her paycheck ($85,000 per show) for the first ten shows is being donated to
charity, though she is keeping foreign TV rights.
IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE...
It probably is, but those wanted by the law aren't always brain surgeons. Brattleboro,
Vermont law enforcement officials captured a number of fugitives by sending out notices
that read "Congratulations ! You've won a free car stereo from Liquidators
Express". As you can imagine the FREE stuff included a ride to jail for the people
wanted on outstanding warrants.
CHEESHEADS CLOTHS BAN
Packers fans who work for the county in Appleton Wisconsin have been prohibited from
wearing Packers Clothing while on the job. Disgruntled workers say it hurts morale and are
protesting and some are still wearing their green and gold just without the Packers logo.
