BRIDGE DAY
About 100,000 spectators showed up over the weekend to watch people jump off a
perfectly good bridge. The New River Gorge Bridge outside of Fayetteville, West Virginian
attracts parachutists from all over to jump the 876 feet down into the gorge.
LET'S SETTLE
The word is that Paula Jone's lawyers now want $2 Million to settle the sexual
harrasment case against Bill Clinto. Just two weeks ago the going price was said to be
around $700,000.
QUOTE OF THE YEAR
Nominated for quote of the year is the statement made by
Representative Dick Armey (R-TX) , who when asked if he were in the
President's place, would he resign, responded:
"If I were in the President's place I would not get a chance to
resign. I would be lying in a pool of my own blood hearing Mrs.

JOHN GLENN IN SPACE
The 77 year old former astronaut will be able to see something he saw in his one
and only space flight back in 1962. The citizens of Perth, Australia are planning to turn
on all of their lights the night of October 31st, just as they did in 1962, which earned
Perth the nickname The City Of Lights.
