CAREFUL WHAT YOU PROMISE
Ken Luke is the Principal at a Salt Lake City elementary school. In an effort
to encourage kids to read more at home he promised to walk on his hands and knees to
school November 9th if they read 150,000 pages. The kids did it and so did Mr. Luke. One
thing ! He probably should've thought meterology when he made the promise. It snowed a
foot, Monday making the trek about a three hour ordeal, cheered on by the student body. He
went through five pair of gloves.
CLOTHING OPTIONAL SKIING
That's the latest offering at a New Hampshire ski resort. For $250 you get a
room for a couple of nights at the Snow Village Inn, plus meals and the chance to
participate in an "invigorating sport". Nude cross country skiing ! No takers
yet though the owner reports several inquiries.
ROCK N ROLL NECK ?
That's what some Doctors are saying may have caused Rick James stroke. A constant
whipping of the neck back and forth and to the sides while performing which may have
caused a blood vessel to burst.
GEORGE BUSH JUMPING AGAIN
The ex president will be sky diving again and this time he's taking talk show host
Larry King with him. The king of CNN said he'd do it if Bush would and now the two will
jump out of a perfectly good airplane together.
ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME
Paul McCartney has made it in, inducted as a solo performer as well as Bruce
Springsteen, Billy Joe, Del Shannon, Dusty Springfield, The Staples ASingers and Curtis
Mayfield. The 14th annual induction ceremonies will be March 15th.
HAVEN'T WE HEARD THIS BEFORE
The cast of "Friends" is looking for another pay raise. You may remember
they all stuck together and got a raise two years agao from $40,000 per episode to
$100,000 per. NOW they're back at it and asking for $300,000 per episode which is closer
to what the top cast members at ER make.
SAY IT AIN'T SOSA
NY Mayor Rudolph Guiliani says he has THE BAT that Sammy Sosa used to hit #66
during the home run derby. NY Governer George Patki says he has THE BAT used to hit #59.
NOPE ! Or so says the baseball Hall Of Fame. They say they have bats 59-62 and 64-66 from
this past year. #63 split in half and wasn't saved.
