The Love Boat of 70's TV fame was seized in the Greek port of Piraeus.
Authorities boarded the ship and held it in port after two crew members were caught making
a drug deal and 56 lbs. of heroin was seized. The ship now stuck in port will be
investigated for about another week, the amount of time left on the Love Boat's cruise.
None of the ship's 616 passengers has bolted.....yet !
WINE FOR WORK...
Some might like that agreement but not the wives of workers for a Moscow
construction company. It's become common practice for employers in Russia to pay in
bartered goods, but this time the ladies are protesting that WINE is not exactly the pay
of choice for some. They'd rather get oil and flour.
HARD TIME
Santa Clara jail keepers are making it hell on yuppies who've been imprisoned. No
more Sugar, you have to pay for your coffee and no cigarettes allowed in the prison. The
sugar savings alone are expected to hit $50,000 per year, while it's also expected to cut
back on the production of "pruno" and alcoholic beverage concocted by the
inmates. Sweet an Low just won't do.
NO HARD FEELINGS
Gary Davis didn't like life in jail, but he's got no hard feelings for Sulpher Springs
Texas authorities. In fact following his escape he called them to tell them so. He escaped
from a medium security facility while on a paint detail. Officials have no idea where the
man is currently.
HOLDING ON TO SUBURBIA
One Chicago man was not giving up his Suburban to car jackers. He was spotted hanging on
to the roof's luggage rack as it sped through Chicao streets. Charles Gardner held on
until police noticed the strange scene and pursued the car jackers who fled but were
caught. Gardner suffered minor cuts and bruises and will get the vehicle back.
STUPID CRIMINALS 101 !
Troy, Michigan police set upa sting the other day. The defendants had appeared to plead to
charges of driving with suspended licenses. The offenders then promptly walked out the
courthouse doors and into their cars where they were re-arrested on the same charges, only
