UP A TREE
It's been one full year since 24 year old environmentalist Julia Hill climbed a
tree and said she isn't coming down until the lumber company and state officials agree not
to cut down the giant redwood she calls Luna. Hill first made her ascent decent December
10th 1997.
RADAR DETECTOR
A British inventor has determined that photographic "flash guns" can be
used to 'blind' photo radar by flashing a bright light milliseconds after the photo radar
fires. The resulting "flash" from the flash guns exsposes the film so it can't
be used to snag speeders.
DROPPING OUT
Anthony Hopkins doesn't like the indusry that's paid him well over the years. He
tells The News Of Th Wiorld that "acting is very bad for one's mental health" .
He's planning on quitting acting after his current movie Titus Andronicus.

There was an auction of Hollywood memorabilia. What was the top money maker? The
lion suit worn by Bert Lahr in The Wizard of Oz, $250,000. A shirt worn by Leonardo De
Caprio in Titanic sold for $10,000 while The Batman costume worn by Michael Keaton pulled
in $60,000.
