WORRIED ABOUT Y2K?
A new survey of Americans say that Jan 1st, 2000 (nearly 50%) they'll avoid flying
in planes, plus they'll pay special attention to their financial well being just in case
computers start crashing all around them. 46% expect some air traffic control systems to
fail, while nearly two thirds expect the banking system to experience problems. Still a
full 80% said they were confident that US businesses and corporations would solve the
problems before the new millenium.
ABC'S GOOD MORNING AMERICA GETS A FACELIFT
The morning news show has been slumping in the ratings and execs have decided to
team Diane Sawyer and Charles Gibson to try and pump some new life into the program.
Gibson was just taken off the show in April after 11 years and says he's
"flabbergasted" to have been asked back.

Robert Deniro stars as a man trying to take over the world by hypnotizing people. Jason
Alexander also stars. Rocky, Boris, Natasha and Bullwinkle will play themselves in this
live and animation mix.
AOL MEMBERS NAME AMERICAN OF THE YEAR
250,000 people voted and picked Mark McGwire as number one, followed by Ken Starr,
John Glenn and President Clinton.

Jesse the bBody Ventura was sworn in. Now he has some words about Hulk Hogan's
pronouncement that he'll run for President. It's jealousy says Ventura. "I feel sorry
for him. He's a jealous man." He tells the next edition of USA WEEKEND.

Once again Michael has been chosen for more newborns than any other male name in
the US (35th year in a row) Jacob, Matthew, Nicholas and Joshua follow that up, while
Kaitlyn is the top female name follwed by Emily. Sarah last year's number 1 fell to third
followed by Hannah and Ashley.
