FIRST SHE TURNS 40 ! THEN....
Barbie's having a bad year. The now middle aged model(just turned 40) for young women is
being evicted from the Barbie Hall of Fame in Palo Alto, California. That means that
21,000 Barbies will be homeless unless the proprietor of the Hall of Fame can find another
place she can afford for the 15 year old celebration of Barbie.
WORLD'S OLDEST PERSON?
A woman's family in Kenya claims that Njoki Wainaina is 143 years old. Since she has no
birth certificate it will be difficult for anyone to prove or disprove. The previously
oldest person certified on the planet was Jeanne Calment of France, who died last year at
122.

THIN ? THEN DON'T APPLY FOR THIS GIG!
Spain's Salon Gaudi fashion house has said it isn't looking for skinny models to hit the
catwalk in it's next show. They want to promote more realistic modeling and are hoping
that women representing their work will be wearing a size 10. The Spanish health ministry
issued a condemnation saying it was wrong to "illegalize" being thin !
SUING THE ALMIGHTY...
Want to guess the verdict here? Donald Drusky sued GOD for his failure to prevent him from
getting fired from US STEEL (USX) "Defendant God is the sovereign ruler of the
universe and took no corrective action against the leaders of his Church and his Nation
for their extremely serious wrongs, which ruined the life of Donald S. Drusky," the
lawsuit said. The case was thrown out by a Pennsylvania judge for being frivilous. It's
all part of a 30 year legal battle the Pennsylvania man has waged. Other's included in the
suit? Ronald Reagan and George Bush, the television networks, all 50 states, every single
American, all federal judges, and the 100th through 105th congresses.
SUPERMODEL STAMPS
Australian supermodel Elle McPherson has gotten the Caribbean stamp of approval (like she
needed it). Antigua and Barbuda have each issued their own stamps featuring the beauty.
It's all in celebration of The World Stamp Expo 99 going on now in Melbourne Australia.
Though some of the pictures used had to be 'cropped' to avoid any controversy on the
sometime scantily clad model.
MONOPOLY'S NEWEST PIECE
For the first time in 47 years Hasbro has introduced a new playing piece for Monopoly. A
tiny sack of money. Quick name the other pieces in one of the world's most popular games:

FRIED SQUIRREL ANYONE!?
5000 German residents went without power when a "wet" squirrel trekked between
two large transformers causing an arc knocking out the power. The rodent didn't make it.
BRAD PITT'S STALKER
Athena Marie Rolando the 20 year old found in Brad Pitt's home dressed in his clothes has
been ordered to undergo counseling immediately, after she signed up as part of her court
ordered sentence but never show for the therapy. She says there's no obbsession for the
actor "I still think he's good looking," she said, "but I wouldn't want to
hurt the man, would I?"

"Forces of Nature"Ben Affleck's trip to his wedding with Maura Tierney is
complicated by a plane crash and the resulting road trip with free spirit Sandra Bullock.
"The King and I" Miranda Richardson and
Martin Vidnovic are the voices of Anna and the King, respectively, in this animated
version of the musical.
"Ravenous" Antonia Bird directs Guy Pearce as an
1840s Army captain pursued by a cannibal in the Sierras.
"True Crime" Clint Eastwood is a reporter under the wire
to prove Isaiah Washington's innocence. James Woods co-stars.
POKEMAN HITS THE US!
Remember Pokeman? The cartoon that high strobe effects that sent hundreds of Japanese kids
to hospital's with convulsions. Well they tamed down the cartoon a little and now the
marketing has begun and it's coming to the US in a big way with movies, stuffed animals,
trading cards, comic books, clothes, lunch boxes, stickers, keychains and other Pokemon
paraphernalia, as well as more video games and TV cartoons.
