STAR WARS IN "HYPERDRIVE"
The hype machine is in full gear for the Star Wars:Phantom Menace release 5/19. A few
facts:
* Loews Theatres in New York City WON'T be show the movie because they couldn't come to a
deal with the makers. They WILL show at other Loews theaters around US but for ONLY 4
weeks at Mann's Theater in LA. (makers wanted 12 wks.)
* Tickets are for sale on Ebay's Auction
site
* Thousands of transactions are being conducted every minute
* Fans can order by credit card but MUST show that card to retrieve tickets
* Prices range from $600 per (Anaheim CA) to only $6 a ticket (Edwardsville,
IL)
* Personal delivery's being offered by some. "I'll meet you in the mall"
* One theatre get's a plug in this ad: "75-foot by 36-foot screen, its leather
seating and gourmet food --- ``such as chicken tenderloin and potato skins.''
* 3 restaurants are combined in one ad for merchandising they have in store (Kentucky
Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell)

MONICA'S STORY: Some Facts
* The book sold 350,000 copies @ $24.95 each

AND THE TOP "NEW" SYNDICATED SHOW IS.......
Well it hasn't been determined yet but Pamela Anderson Lee's V.I.P. may been the most
watached of the new shows. It's in a tight race with StarGate SG1, while leading 3rd place
Baywatch (her alma mata).
HOMOCIDE: Life On The Street
Critically acclaimed Cop Show canceled after 7 seasons by NBC
HERCULES: No more
Kevin Sorbo and the hit "Hercules" finish the final season's taping in July then
Sorbo is moving from the past to the future. He'll develop and star in one of Gene
Roddenberry's Andromeda and/or Gene Roddenberry's Starship. The deal was reached with
Roddenberry's widow and will hit TV in Fall 2000 as syndicated series.
NEWS RADIO: Canceled
AMY FISHER ON TV AGAIN!
The "Long Island Lolita" recently released from prison may appear with Joey
Buttafuco and his wife (whom Fisher shot) on a television interview show. The idea is
being shopped around by an LA Agent who claims both parties are eager for such an
interview. (could money be involved:)?
