BABS AND BROLIN
Rumors are flying high that Barbra Streisand and James Brolin may finally tie the knot as
early as today. Tents have popped up on the property in Malibu and it may be happening...
FIRST KATIE COURIC...
Now Dateline Co-Anchor Jane Pauley is getting a pay raise and contract extension. She's
reported by Variety to have been offered a bump to $5.5 Million a year. Stone Phillips her
co anchor is also in the $5-$7 Million range.
JURASSIC PARK THE SEQUEL'S SEQUEL
The third installment of the very popular dino films is now in development. Michael
Chricton on script, Spielberg back to produce. Set for a summer of 2000 release.
THE LATEST VEGETABLE
The Clinton administration has ruled that Salsa can be classified a vegetable in the
nation's school lunch program as they try to meet nutritional guidelines. You may remember
the big flap caused when the Reagan administration declared ketchup a vegetable 17 years
ago.
NOT VERY GOOD AT HIDING HIS STASH
Police in Connecticut didn't have much trouble catching a pot smuggler at the airport. The
suitcase stuffed with 40 pounds of pot was so overstuffed it burst open on the conveyor
belt. A baggage handler stuffed the illegal booty back into the suitcase and put it on
it's merry way to baggage claim where it broke open again as Jason Ennis was picking it
up. He was caught trying to stuff the marijuana into the bag.
MICKEY, GOOFY, DONALD and MINNIE ON STRIKE
So are the rest of the Disney Characters, or the 'actors' that play them at Euro-Disney in
France. The 100 actors want respect and a 7% pay increase and are picketing Disney.
